Short and Sweet

How long, Lord? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and day after day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? Look on me and answer, Lord my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death, and my enemy will say, “I have overcome him,” and my foes will rejoice when I fall. But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing the Lord’s praise, for he has been good to me. Psalm 13

I love that Psalm.  It was in my Bible reading today and I just had to share it.  It says so much and it is basically how I feel on a consistent basis!! Yikes!

The Lord has been good to me.

When I say that sentence over in my head, I realize, once again, that everything I have and am is from HIM.

Think about that for a moment….

W.O.W.

Furthermore, the above scripture makes me ask another question.  How long will I forget you, Lord?

God is always with us, but how often are we with Him?

I don’t know about you, but life gets in the way.  I start off with great intentions and then fall of the wagon after a few bumps in the road.

The number of excuses is limitless.  The actual steps towards God are few.

So, in an effort to NOT FORGET God today – take time and thank God for your life, your family, your friends and the world we live in.  Remember that He created them all and we should be:

  1. Thankful, instead of demanding

  2. Loving, instead of selfish

  3. Giving, instead of grasping onto things that will never make us happy.

We each have a few days that make up our lives…make them count!

Some Wisdom for Today:  Proverbs 21:20 – Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man’s dwelling, but a foolish man devours it.
