Have you ever found yourself at wits’ end? Have you felt so depleted and exhausted that you could sleep for years? Have you lacked the energy to do anything but cry out with a big “I can’t do this anymore” but know that you really have no choice but to move forward?
YIKES! Where’s that Wonder Woman/Superman pill when you need it?
Overwhelmed with responsibility, beaten by bitter blows and inundated with obligations…how much can one person take? You know…I don’t have a clue.
When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. He keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken. Psalm 34: 17-20
I do know that burning the candle at both ends is no good, but it’s also sometimes necessary. Grrr…don’t you hate it when that happens?!?!?!
Obligations, schmobligations!!!
We all have our lives to live and once in a while, the going really does get tough. This is when our faith is put to the test and our faith-living is put into practice.
The beautiful part about being at our worst is getting to see God at His best!
But Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
Of course, we should talk to God and Jesus every moment of every day. However, in life’s worst moments…PRAY, then sit back and watch the miracles happen!
True story: Girlfriend is done. I mean D.O.N.E. She’s overworked, overstressed, over-everything! Said girlfriend sits down and cries out to God one morning saying she is D.O.N.E. Guess what? Miracle happens two hours later that lessens her workload, stress level and everything else. Love it!!! God is good ALL THE TIME.
And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. 1John 5:14
God knows what we need, but sometimes He waits for us to place our burdens on Him before He acts in His mighty way.
Let’s be clear. Making stupid decisions and then waiting for God to rescue us from them isn’t very bright. That’s not how God works. Sure, He can save us from ourselves. However, He loves us enough to let us learn from our mistakes.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. 1Peter 3:12
God will not be snowed. He knows our hearts and He knows our true desires. The best part is that if we ask Him to make our desires His desires…He WILL!
Start your relationship with God today and watch the miracles happen!! They really are a sight to behold!
Some Wisdom for Today: Proverbs 28:9 – If one turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.
