The elections are really a good indicator of the kind of people we are…not by the person we vote for, but by the way we treat others who disagree with us.
Ouch!
A testament to our true identity is how we react when faced with challenging people.
And unfortunately they are everywhere.
However, that doesn’t mean that we can toss the command to “love our neighbor” to the side just because someone is hateful to us.
Of course, that’s the easy route, but not the Christ-like one.
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
I wish this was easier than it really is.
I recently saw a saying on Facebook that I really thought would help us all during this season of choices, differences and change: In a world where we can be anything, be kind.
Simple, yet so true.
So, as we go through the next few months of political warfare, think about being kind at all times.
Some Wisdom for Today: Proverbs 11:17 – A man who is kind benefits himself, but a cruel man hurts himself.
