Happy Turkey Day!!!

I’m sure we are all ready to check out the spread of goodies and dive into our favorite entrees!  Me, me, me!!!!  I am SO raising my hand!!

As we go through today trying to get along with the crowd around us, thinking of all the things we are thankful for and loosening our pants because we are stuffed to the gills…I encourage us all to make today different than every other day.

How?  Well, here are a few thoughts:

  1. Bite your tongue.  I may be the only one who has this problem, but not everyone needs to know my opinion on everything and today is a prime opportunity to turn the other cheek and shut my trap!  Ah, man!!!
  2. Take a deep breath and really listen.  Kinda like No. 1, but this activity goes the next step.  Plus, it makes the other person feel valued.
  3. Spread some love.  When you start to complain, get angry or anxious.  STOP. PRAY. AND spread love instead.

Remember your blessings today.  Regardless of your situation or circumstance, we have the best reason to be thankful…that is JESUS CHRIST!

This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all, which is the testimony given at the proper time. 1Timothy 2:3-6

Hopefully, you are surrounded by family or friends and are looking forward to food and football!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Some Wisdom for Today:  Proverbs 8:34-35 – Blessed is the man who listens to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.  For whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord.
