Making It Your Own

IMG_0659This whole week I’ve been busting my tail to paint my new office and desk and put my new space together so that I am ready for my first day of my new full-time job on this coming Monday.

I’m super excited and it’s going to be gorgeous!!!  Thankfully, Lee has been right by my side helping me or this would NOT have been so easy!  His perfectionism is a much needed asset in times like these!

You might be wondering why I’m working so hard to get the office for my new job completed before I even work there.  Well, it’s because I want to make it my own from the moment I hit the door running!

If I wait until my first day to decorate my office, I will miss out on the organization, tidiness and beauty that I now am sure to enjoy on Monday.  Can you imagine the scrambling I would be doing to throw stuff in my square room and pray that it looks good and is easy to use?!?!?!

That would be fun…NOT!!!

Go to the ant, O sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise. Without having any chief, officer, or ruler, she prepares her bread in summer and gathers her food in harvest. Proverbs 6:6-8

A job well done doesn’t just happen.  It takes planning, preparation and effort.  There’s no such thing as luck…especially when it comes to the sweat and tears we put into our life.  We definitely reap what we sow.

This process reminds me of what I strive to do with my relationship with God.

I can guarantee failure if I’m not planning to get to know him, preparing to meet him and making the effort to grow in Him.  In fact, if I don’t do a thing then there isn’t even a relationship.

Personally, I don’t want to be that person that gives a bunch of lip service to something I don’t do myself.  Sure, I make tons of mistakes, but you can bet your bippy that I’m working towards a better me.

It’s a slow process, but through God’s Grace I am headed in the right direction!

Where are you headed???

And please say a prayer for me this Monday as I head back into the workforce!!  I would really appreciate any and all I can get 😮

Some Wisdom for Today:  Proverbs 24:27 – Prepare your work outside; get everything ready for yourself in the field, and after that build your house.

Hey Jason! Sorry I’m just getting back to you! Thanks for the blessings! I really appreciate it. Obviously, I didn’t have a chance to write my GEMs last week, so I’m using my three day weekend to catch up! Hope you are having a great one!
