GEM is THREE!!!

cropped-shutterstock_28326861.jpgIt’s hard to believe that I’ve been writing GEM for three years!  WOW!!!

The time has flown and I’ve absolutely loved every minute of this new road I’m traveling!

God truly works amazing miracles in the lives of those who follow His guidance.  I have firsthand knowledge of the changes, blessings and growth that can happen when we choose to walk the path He has created for us.

Since graduating from college, I have drifted from one career to another; always looking for the next best thing and that one job that would fulfill my need to create, write, encourage, build relationships and basically…run my mouth!

My sister, Kelly, is the one who told me I should write a blog.  I had no clue what I would write about, but I figured it was worth a try and that I would really enjoy sharing my Christ journey with others.  Who knew I would LOVE it like I do?!?!?!

If you don’t think the Holy Spirit is real…just try to ignore Him when He’s holding up a neon sign with directions that have your name on it.  It ain’t pretty!

When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. John 16:13

GEM was certainly an answer to prayer.  I had been searching for years to find my life’s purpose without success.  I prayed many, many times for the “neon sign” and I complained A LOT.

Poor God…I bet His complaint department is WAY bigger than His thank you one!  (Sounds like a GEM in there, but will save that one for later.)

And your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left. Isaiah 30:21

I’m not proud of my attitude while hunting for my objective, but I do see God’s hand print all over the trek to finding my purpose.  There was lots of picking up, shaking off and redirecting me…but not once did God give up on me.  Whew!

The best lesson has been the realization that my path will continue to change and morph as I travel, but the end purpose is to please God no matter what my situation currently is.

So, I would like to thank each and every one of you for traveling with me for the past three years.  I am blessed beyond measure with your support, encouragement and kind words.

I’m pleased to be sharing my God-given gifts with the world and I look forward to following God’s lead in the future…wherever that might take me!

Thanks for an amazing THREE YEARS!!!

Some Wisdom for Today:  Proverbs 11:14 – Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.
