Our Sweet Little Ones

It is with a heavy heart that I’ve put together my blog today because a dear friend’s child has passed away from cancer.  I couldn’t come up with any words, so I’m using a poem I wrote for another friend who’s sweet boy died a few years ago.  I ask that all of you hug your precious kiddos and pray diligently for those who are mourning the loss of a child.

My Sweet Tucker

The memories are precious.  The moments are gone

A family left broken.  It all just seems wrong

Why did this happen?  Who can explain?

A brave little boy to suffer such pain

A life that is over before it could start

So sad and so tragic; it cuts to the heart

Sorrow and loss; anger and grief

Death brought the end and ran like a thief

No terms can express the loss of the young

Its music not written and words left unsung

Make no mistake.  I hope in the One

He’s mighty and righteous.  He gave us His Son

God’s walked this road; to watch His boy die

Knowing the pain and hearing the cries

His will goes beyond what we can grasp

Our life’s in God’s hands.  He’s up to the task

Can’t help but question how this will end

I pray for His healing; a hug from a friend

Our good Lord will do what He does best

Just give Him our woes and He’ll do the rest

I will not despair.  I will not give way

Hope is not lost. The ransom was paid

God’s holy word will guide me along

My soul will cry out till I can get home

Send me an angel to help me get through

Wrap me with love in all that I do

I hold onto faith with all of my might

God will make everything right

But baby, I tell you; I’ll miss you so much

Watching you sleep and feeling your touch

Goodbye for today our sweet precious child

We will meet again in Heaven’s vast wild

Some Wisdom for Today:  Proverbs 27:1 – Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
