Fun, Fun, Fun

Let the celebrating commence!!!  School is finished!  Graduation is upon us and summertime is here!!!  It’s time to PARTY!!!!!  (Didn’t’ I just tell you on Tuesday that I love a party?!)

“Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with flute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! …” Psalm 150:1-6

Reading this passage just makes me want to jump up and down, whooping and hollering!!!  😮

I am ready for a celebration!  I am ready to throw my cares to the wind and celebrate life!

I am SO fortunate.  I haven’t spent nearly enough time talking about how blessed I am and how wonderful it is to be free in Christ’s love.  I am a child of God and I want to sing His praises from the top of my lungs!!!!!

I have squandered too many days and haven’t professed enough how happy I am just to be alive!!

So, how can I keep this level of excitement, joyfulness and hope EVERY DAY?

  • Thank God every day that I have the “mind of Christ”  1Cor 2:16
  • Keep an attitude of gratitude. Col 3:16
  • Write a list of blessings daily in a journal. Deut 28:1-2
  • Do something to make someone else laugh.  Ecl 3:4
  • Be thankful for the little things (i.e. air, water, freedom). Phil 4:6-7
  • Give a piece of yourself away each day. John 3:16
  • Let ‘thank you’ be the first words spoken each morning. Col 3:17
  • Say ‘thank you’ every night. Col 1:12
  • Repeat all of the above every day and moment by moment – as needed. 1Thes 5:15-17

It makes me laugh that above I gave examples of little things as being air, water and freedom!  THOSE ARE NOT LITTLE!  They are huge and I take advantage of them every second of every day!  Who gave those to me?  Uh….GOD!  That is reason enough to celebrate today!!!

Life is not always fun, fun, fun; but we CAN have joy in our hearts and share the amazing love of Jesus Christ every day no matter what our situation!

“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4

It’s time to stop the fretting and complaining and make a difference in life and the lives of others by celebrating the joy and freedom in Christ!!

We are saved and for that we should celebrate!

“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”  Colossians 3:17

Some Wisdom for Today:  Proverbs 20:1 – Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.
